Maroof Azam Rachyal hails from a distinguished political and business family with a legacy dating back to 1954–55, when Rachyal & Co. was established in both the United Kingdom and Pakistan. The firm specialised in import/export and foreign exchange and was widely recognised for its significant contribution to generating foreign exchange for Pakistan through its UK operations.
An accomplished entrepreneur, Maroof Azam leads and oversees a diverse portfolio of ventures across multiple sectors. His business interests include Tile Demand Ltd, a major importer of luxury Italian and Spanish porcelain tiles. The company has built a strong market presence across the UK, supplying a broad client base that includes developers, contractors, and retail customers. Under his leadership, the business has experienced consistent growth, establishing itself as a trusted and recognised name in the porcelain tile industry, with a focus on premium quality, contemporary design, and reliable supply chains.
He is also the owner of WoodSense Flooring Ltd, a UK-based flooring business specialising in high-quality wood flooring, carpets, laminate flooring, and luxury vinyl tile (LVT). The company serves both residential and commercial clients, offering a diverse range of stylish and durable flooring solutions. WoodSense Flooring Ltd is recognised for its commitment to quality, competitive sourcing, and customer-focused service.
In addition, he is the founder of Euro Surface Group (ESG), a wholesale business specialising in porcelain tiles and wooden flooring solutions. The company supplies trade clients across the UK, offering premium surface materials tailored to developers, contractors, retailers, and commercial projects. Through ESG, Maroof Azam has further strengthened his presence within the construction and interior surfaces sector, focusing on quality products, dependable supply chains, and long-term industry partnerships.
He is associated with ZESS, an aesthetics clinic and academy focused on advanced beauty, skincare, and non-surgical aesthetic treatments, alongside professional training and education within the aesthetics industry. The organisation combines clinical excellence with specialist education, supporting both clients and aspiring practitioners through high standards of care and professional development.
He is also the owner of Ridesharks Ltd, a premium UK-based executive chauffeur and corporate travel company. Operating a sophisticated B2B model, the company specialises in delivering discreet, high-end ground transportation solutions tailored to the needs of corporate executives, VIP clients, and international business travellers. Ridesharks Ltd has earned a strong reputation across the UK and Europe for its commitment to excellence, reliability, and professionalism. The company offers a seamless, luxury travel experience defined by meticulous attention to detail, modern fleet standards, and a client-centric approach,
positioning it as a trusted partner for organisations requiring first-class corporate mobility solutions.
Additionally, he is involved with Taxio, a UK-based ground transportation solutions provider serving corporate clients nationwide. The company specialises in reliable and professional business travel services, offering tailored transportation solutions designed to meet the requirements of executives, organisations, and corporate travellers across the United Kingdom. Through a strong emphasis on efficiency, service quality, and operational reliability, Taxio supports businesses with dependable mobility solutions for day-to-day and executive transportation needs.
Earlier in his entrepreneurial journey, in 2008, he established and operated a restaurant specialising in authentic Pakistani cuisine. This venture contributed to promoting South Asian culinary culture in the UK and provided him with valuable experience in hospitality management, customer service, and business operations.
He is also actively engaged in property development, contributing to both residential and commercial projects.
Maroof Azam is driven by a clear strategic vision to enhance economic integration between the UK and Pakistan. He is particularly committed to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises by creating pathways for international exposure, trade expansion, and sustainable growth.
Looking towards the future, Maroof Azam is focused on expanding his business ventures internationally, with plans to soon launch Tile Demand Ltd in Dubai and Lahore, Pakistan, further strengthening the company’s presence within the South Asian market. He is also preparing to establish ZESS in Islamabad, Pakistan, bringing advanced aesthetics services and professional academy training to a growing market with a strong emphasis on innovation, healthcare standards, and professional education.
Beyond his commercial achievements, Maroof Azam maintains a strong commitment to public service, with a keen interest in politics and community development. As Founding Chairman of a charitable organisation with a membership of over 100 individuals, he leads initiatives focused on improving health and education in Pakistan. His philanthropic work places special emphasis on advancing women’s healthcare, including the development and modernisation of health centres in underserved rural communities.
